Almost 75% of them are rural farmers. Faced with this unacceptable situation, Agronomes et Vétérinaires sans frontières is working alongside the rural farming families to fight hunger in a lasting manner.
We are presenting this book to you today because we believe that it is important to show you pictures of the men, women and children with whom we work every day to enable them to take charge of their own development.

The book "Histoires sans faim" (a play on words in French: “Stories without end”, with the word “end” using the spelling of hunger, both pronounced the same way) describes the daily existence of the families that we have met thanks to over 20 years of working in the field. The photos provide an insight into the customs, traditional produce, ancestral farming and livestock farming techniques, as well as the development conditions in rural areas, often isolated, in different regions of the world.
In short, it joins forces with these populations engaged in a constant battle against hunger. “Histoires sans faim" also explains the role played by AVSF through 51 photos, organised around the association’s three areas of focus :
- developing livestock farming and animal health,
- accessing and managing natural resources,
- supporting rural farming organisations by facilitating and supporting access to local and international markets.
By buying this book you can help preserve the dignity of the poorest rural farmers.
